Assembly Coordinator

Our Shepherd's Girls meetings usually start with an assembly time. Girl leaders have key roles in implementing the assembly, but regular adult leader oversight and coordination is needed for each assembly.

The beginning of a meeting can be hectic time, with multiple competing demands for the time and attention of the ministry leadership. With focus on the assembly itself, the Assembly Coordinator is in a special position to ensure that the meeting begins on time and in an organized fashion. In doing so, the Coordinator should strive to advance girl leadership and mentor girls as needed in their roles.

Prior to a meeting, our Assembly Coordinator is charged with verifying and communicating the assembly plan on a weekly basis to the adult and girl leadership.

Qualifications

• Christian woman age 18 or older
• Registered as an adult leader with Shepherd's Girls
• Agree to the Shepherd's Church Volunteer Covenant and qualified for service

Core Duties

• Verify and communicate the weekly assembly plan to adult and girl leadership.
• Supervise and mentor the girl leaders with assembly duties

Additional Responsibilities

• As a member of the Flock leadership, pay active attention to Flock business and so as to contextually aware of items that may imact the order or content of assemblies.
• Complete Shepherd's Girls training during first year of service

Timing of Duties

• The Assembly Coordinator will typically find it most convenient to interact with other leaders and youth at the weekly meetings; however, the role can be accomplished without being present at all parts of all meetings.
• The Assembly Coordinator has communication responsibilities outside of meetings, and will need to interact with the Flock leadership regularly.
• The Assembly Coordinator is encouraged to attend campouts and activities to inform a practical understanding of the ministry's operations.
